Oven cooked Chicken Wings with Green Sauce

My husband and I love chicken wings…In our opinion wings are superior to any other chicken meat by far…and so I was always in search for a good and healthy wings recipe.

This recipe contains the green sauce that I use for so many different recipes including salads, fish, steaks…it’s a pretty much perfect recipe while also being pretty much fail proof…not to mention healthy!

Ingredients:
- 8 chicken wings
- 1 cup of cilantro
- 1/5 cup of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 lime
- salt

Prepare:
1. Preheat the oven to 220 C.

2. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Pat the wings dry with paper towels. You want them crispy and if there is any water on the wings, they will not crisp up.

4. Coat the wings with just a little bit of olive oil, arrange them on the baking tray and put it in the oven for 40min. Remove from the oven after 20 minutes, flip them and return it back to the oven.

5. While the wings are cooking, make the sauce. Put cilantro, olive oil, garlic, chili pepper and juice from one lime into food processor. Process it till it’s consistency is to your liking. I like when it’s not too over processed and I can feel little chunks.

6. When the Wings are about 30 minutes into cooking, remove them from the oven and pour third of the green sauce onto them. Coat well and return it to the oven for it to cook in the sauce.

7. When you see that the wings got a nice dark color, take it out of the oven. Poor the remaining green sauce onto the wings and enjoy!
